What

BWC is focused on providing an environment where kids can learn about the sport of wrestling through a fun yet challenging environment. It is our hope that the club can provide an avenue for youth, middle school and high school athletes to gain additional technical experience as well as an opportunity to compete and train with athletes from all around on a regular basis and as a supplement to their normal structured practice and/or training program.

We promote the combination of strong character, responsibility and respect with hard work and lots of fun.

Why

As life long wrestlers we found that the sport taught us many things that have helped us in our day to day lives, both personally and professionally. As the club name suggests, there is focus on learning how to “battle” through challenge and adversity. The sport of wrestling quickly introduces its athletes to many challenging concepts in a way that can be used to help an athletes understanding of their own strengths and weaknesses. Athletes will learn that, in the wrestling room at BWC, most things aren’t given to you and that you will have to work hard for your successes. One of the best aspects of the sport is that there is much opportunity for each and every athlete to find success on the mat, either through wins and losses or through the achievment of personal goals that may be unrelated to the win/loss column.

How

At BWC we work hard to combine hard work with lots of fun. We aim to provide ample technical guidance, but not at the expense of having a good time. Most practice sessions will consist of a 30 minute period of warm up, technique and drilling, followed by 30 minutes of wrestling and wrestling related games and fun.

Advanced private technique or workout sessions are available and will be held outside the regular practice schedule.
