Total for return athletes that already have an AAU card: $50
You can pay online, by check or by cash.
* I can also send an invoice with link to pay online if preferred.

GEAR
I finally have lots of gear so please let me know if you want a singlet, fight shorts, practice shirts, custom sublimated shirts (long and short sleeve), etc. I’ll have gear with me on Sundays so you can check it out.
As requested, I’ll have some TBWC stickers and/or magnets this session at some point.
Olympics
Reminder that this session our theme is the Olympics and all of the wrestlers and styles we will be seeing at the Olympic games next month in Rio.
***Assignment: Each wrestler will have to pick an Olympic wrestler and tell me, and the rest of the club, 5 facts about him/her during our roundup at some point this session. I recommend using resources like the Team USA site, flowrestling.org, etc to watch historical matches and perhaps even interviews with these stellar athletes (Freestyle, Greco, Men, Women).
****As a side note, the wrestler chosen does not have to be unique (someone else could have discussed them previously, but you have to use different facts) and does not have to be from the USA. There are some really cool athletes out there from other countries that represent our sport with great pride and dignity. I would love for our guys to know who some of them are.
Wakulla Tourney
I’m so very proud to report that we had 12 athletes drive down to the Wakulla Open tournament last week to lay it all on the line. We battled hard, won some and lost some. I’m really proud of the way our guys battled during what would be considered our off season. Summer wrestling is typically not about being in great shape and, maybe not even about getting a bunch of wins. The focus during the summer months is to get as much mat experience as you can and put yourself in positions to explore some of the new techniques you may not be as comfortable executing during higher stakes events.
Though we made a few mistakes, coaches included (JT), we battled hard and got some great experience. Thanks to Team Wakulla for hosting.
You can visit their Facebook page here to check out some pictures of the event.
If you would be interested in managing a Facebook page for TBWC, please let me know. I think the idea is good and is a great platform to share images of our events…I just don’t have any more time to do it.
I look forward to seeing you tomorrow and doing BATTLE!
Coach Dale
